Custom Grills

Started working a 2 grills for my car today. I copied one from DJ's how to and the other will be like Fred's.



I discovered that I HATE doing fiberglass repair. I have only a few small spots to fix and I'm using a fiberglass repair kit, really sticky stuff. I'll paint them and my rear hatch spoiler once the body work is done.

I like the open one myself, I want to do that with my euro grill.

Like Brian, I prefer the open one. Less work(?), less weight (yeah, not much less!), and you could back it with some type of mesh insert. Room for fogs or other lights, etc., too.

i like the open one, fog likes would look good in there. but the other one does have a certain mazda charm to it

I have the APC wire mesh ,I just need a 80's grill
I think they are sooo cool ,it doesn't take that much modding to get such results. :thumbleft:

I bought those grills off ebay $4.95 +$20 shipping each brand new.

I found some new for $11.88 but I don't know what shipping is, I also found ,you guys prolly already know but I found Billet grills for a Festy but it did not show a price.

where did you get it a friend of mine said a guy use a mesh from Home Depot on his nissan sentra SE R spec V

Gutter guard from home depot painted black. It fell off because of some cheap epoxy I used.

My Daughter got hers at Advance auto parts , she used a small amount ,I cabbaged onto the rest and am going to use it on my grill that I just got.
It was APC brand , but Matts Idea sounds cheaper !

i use black anodized aluminum mesh from off an old huge satillite dish i have sitting behind my garage, stuff works great and i have almost used most of the dish up on my numerous cars lol...
