  • Intermittent rear wiper

I know there are some vehicles out there with intermittent rear wipers. Does anybody have any ideas as to what might work in the Festiva? I think it would be just as useful on the back as on the front.

I know that I've been looking around for one of those aftermarket intermittent wiper boxes that you could addd into the circuit.. used to be able to buy them at Canadian Tire.

But they seemed to be just a simple pot switch from what I remember. That was years ago though..

Looks like I just went past edit time again.. :p

But aha! I found what I remembered.. this is over at JC Whitney:

        Knew I wasn't hallucinating..

Just have to find someone who sells in Canada now..

Also, found the same basic idea over at a Miata site during a search.. the same basic idea could work for us, but I'd go with a pot in a vertically mounted switch that goes into an open switch hole in the dash personally..

Essentially you just need a time delay relay and you can have intermitent anything.
