What to do with rims.. paint or hubcaps..

I originally had some cross-hair style hubcaps on the 94 aspire with the 175/80 and they looked fine.. but with the 165/70's they just don't match. All the aftermarket hubcaps i've seen are very cheesey looking, and the original hubcaps for the 94-96 I don't care for but 97's I like. Then again I could always take a wire wheel to the rims and repaint them flat or glossy black, could use the color of the car.. purple but I don't know if that would look right. What do you guys and gals think?

After you paint them ,put on some chrome trim ring's on them with some chrome lug nut's ,Either the color of the car or the black would look good

I like the look of a plain semi gloss black wheel that's all I'm running right now on my car after I did the Aspire brake swap. This spring will be time to get some tires for my Miata wheels

eric, don't wire brush em, bring em up here once it warms up and we can sandblast em, works mucho better. maybe i'll have my powdercoat system by then too...hoping to get that eastwood kit once it's warm enough to actually use it.

I'll have to take you up on that offer in the spring. Black with chrome rings that would look perfect and really good in my opinion. I don't know about the chrome lugs.. do they make em for the aspire? I know i've seen the chrome rings around here local.

you can convert it to lug studs and then get chrome lug nuts. there is a Store on ebay selling the stud kits for like 22 bucks. easier to put on the wheels too lol.
