  • Clear corners and mirrors ?'s

couple questions, been searching and havnt came across anything.

    1. so is there aftermarket place that sells clear corners (w or w/o bump) in north america that fit festivas? or do we have to wait until someone sells them on this site.

    2. what mirrors from other cars fit festivas (if any), i want to get (swoopies), that arent powered.

side question, why are they called swoopies? i was reading posts for a while and had no idea what people were talking about.

    thanks

    ^not sure bout #1.
But I think swoopies only came with the power option.
So if you want swoopies just dont hook them up, and they will be manual then.
^not sure why there called swoopies.

You can buy the clear corners with the turn signal bump new, outside the US.
I bought my set while in Bermuda.
I would think the Caribbean and Europe also have those in stock for a while longer.

        thanks guys

i guess im not looking for swoopies, just nicer looking miirors.

the ones with the bump (that are overseas) are they for festivas, or for a different vehicle.

^^They are for the Kia Pride, the overseas version of the festiva, basically different grille, headlights, corner lights, taillights and the Kia Pride "shout" has a cool spoiler, i only know of 3 in North America (one is on my car) and some prides came in a 4 door model and a 4 door trunk model

there is also the Mazda 121 which also has a different style grille

          1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
          1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I believe they are called swoopies, because they can be folded in like the newer cars. This way, if you were to bump something with them, they just fold in and all you have to do is push them back out and not worry about readjusting the mirror part.
