I thought about that, but then what would be the point in usin this silly floor insulation. If I'm gonna be cheap I've gotta be real cheap. I will caulk all the holes I can find.Originally posted by Mctiva View Postyou know this got me thinking... why not rhino liner"" the floor boards??? anyone tried that yet?

When I did the sound insulation write-up on my DeathEgg ('88 festy), I think I mentioned that all the insulation combined was about 25lbs or less. That's not much at all really; certainly not enough to affect acceleration or m.p.g.

Haven't tried that, but a good, cheap solution was the one I used. I bought the under carriage spray, and sprayed it down on the floor just before applying the carpet batting. Let it tack just a little, then put the batting down. Wait for it to dry, and put in the carpet. This acts as a glue to hold the batting in place, and protects the body if it gets wet. Did it years ago, but I think I used just over a full can...Originally posted by Mctiva View Postyou know this got me thinking... why not rhino liner"" the floor boards??? anyone tried that yet?Contact me for information about Festiva Madness!
