  • Started out this and ended up this

I still have some more little stuff to do but I've almost got it done. My next project after I get it built will be to paint it. I'm also going to put aluminum wheels off my other 93 to this one. I hope I don't get in trouble by starting a new thread on this. I figured adding this to the other one would make it quite long. Admin if its wrong let me know and I'll re-do it.

I really hope you are going to put a roll cage of some kind in that thing. If you roll that car....

Looks darn cool though. Love the top.

Great minds think alike! The Festiva is a perfect mini pickup because the cab is so big and tall.

              Here's mine:

any plans for a roll bar or roll cage? I see pretty instant death if that thing rolls.

To the guys that cut there roofs like this... I had a 91 ef civic si that I cut the roof off and made permanently convertible(only one in Louisiana) how do y'all keep the car from sagging in the middle? After about 6mo my doors didn't line up any more and had to jump over the door to get in and out bc if I(210lbs) sat in the car the body would sag and the door wouldn't close. I had to install a 6p roll cage to fix the problem and get the fuzz off my back about inspection

I'm interested in the truck-tive conversion. Please any info u can share

The Festiva's unibody is primarily supported by the sides and floor. There's practically no support at the top of the car except to keep the glass in. When you take a look at the truck conversion, you see that with most of the Festrucks that there's a dividing wall between the driver and the bed. This helps to keep everything together.

Like I said in interested in doing the conversion, or is there any good detailed wright ups on this or is it a back yard special thing people do when they get bored having a 4seater that gets 40mph lol
