'95 Protege center console

I got this console from my fave JY for $5, from a 1995 Protege. It would fit best in a manual-seatbelt car, but I have it in there held in by friction alone. I Dremeled my Escort front console to make them play nice; later I'll fit them together better and then paint them the same shade of grey. Escort seats and shift knob BTW.

I just noticed that in pic 2 there are those two tabs or whatever sticking up from that ledge. This indicates there was a lift-out tray in there too. I'll go look for it tmw.

That looks good I have been trying to figure out how to put an arm rest in my car. How much did you have to take off of the Escort console to make it work once you get it painted it will almost look like made for a Festy

I cut off just over an inch, for my first fitting. Didn't want to take too much off, so that there would be a gap.

Used a different Escort console (both halves) in Casper, which is the same one that drddan has in his. There are at least two Escort consoles that work, from early to mid-1990s Escorts.

Just go start looking, in Escorts and Mazdas especially. But you might find consoles that work in other brands too. If you have manual seatbelts, more consoles will work more easily.
