  • 92 Protege center console

Got this today out of a 92 Protege. The rear half is the same as early 90s Escorts, but the front is different--hidden cupholders and a storage bin. It cost me $10.

Mine will be installed after the weekend sometime. I want to see how muddevil did it, and also I have a couple of gauges down there (boost & oil pressure) to relocate.

what do you know you read my mind, today at the shop pulled one out of a 92 protoge i have the front half installed, but i noticed i am going to have to widen the holes to slide it forwar. also what is everyone using to fill the gap between the top of the protoge console and the bottom of the dash ?4 inch gap?

I'm gonna fill the gap with a boost gauge and an oil pressure gauge.

This console isn't installed yet. I do have the seat belt receivers from a manual seatbelt car, which I can swap in. They will give more clearance than the stock receivers for the lap belt on the auto-seatbelt cars.

When I get to it, later this week I hope, I'll take pix and do a writeup.
