So a couple questions for the festiva lovers out there, first off I want to get a new counsil, I have access to multiple escorts so I was thinking about going that route, but I like the box underneath my ashtray, is there a way I could do the mod and keep my convenient box? On second note, I am looking for a short shifter, I have seen the ones on eBay for a couple of bucks for the integras and or civics, I am wondering if this would fix my hard to shift problem and how much it shortens the shifts. Also if it is a tough job or direct replacement. ThNk you, all help is appreciated.

If you are having hard shifting issues, the short shifter will make it even more pronounced. Replacing the shifter is super easy though. There are several write ups. A quick search would be worth your time.
For the center console, why not just get one from an LX and forget about having to modify it to fit? If you don't have them locally, I'm sure you could find one from another member here for around $50.
How was that for counsel?
