  • Aspire seat upgrade!

Went to upickit this morning and found these beauty's. No tears almost perfect! The Aspire also had int. wipers and side pockets if anyone wants. Swapped out the inner track and used a spacer on the front of the other. I must say firm is the word.. told the wife I'm not used that.. that was probably the wrong thing to say Now just need to take the carpet cleaner to them.

The arm rest came out of a MX6. Doesn't fit as good with the Aspire seats. Those seats have bit more cushion to them. If I keep it with the upgrades eventually maybe I'll have a Lincoln...

BTW it also had a very nice split backseat.. no confirmation that it'll fit in the Festiva?

Eric those seats look great why did you have to use spacers on the other side I used aspire seats in my green car and all I did was swap the inner track oh and sorry that those wheels weren't better than the ones you had they worked fine on my car pretty soon you are gonna have a Festiva town car I think that on the White car I'm gonna use protege seats and I hope that they don't interfere with my arm rest because they are so nice to have

Aspire back seat is not compatible with Festies, so solly. Those seats do look good BTW.

Ehh that's just my luck. Eventually I'll find a good set of aluminum's. With the outer track figured it was just as easy to use a spacer. Less chance of breakage. Took me 3 hours to do the first 15 minutes to do that last. I think the armrest will still work just be a bit tighter trying to move the seat.

That's what I figured. Half tempted to get them anyways and try to make them work. Probably to narrow in the strut towers if I'm guessing right.

Yeah they are the holy grail of aspire seats. Those were the first I seen in the junkyards. Even that good of condition is rare. It was a very nice Aspire that someone really cared for. At least it was hit hard and not repairable.

Proege seat swap is really easy. Here is a link to the write up I did on it.

BTW locals there's a set in a 2 door at the Upickit in KCK. Not quite as nice but not bad overall.

All you could use would be the seat covers; the Aspire rear seat frame (bottom and seatback) is completely incompatible with the Festiva one. To me, it was more trouble than it was worth. Later I switched to my current Escort front seats anyway.
