  • gutted interior full wire tuck

i Gutted my interior a while back for the weight savings. i was left with wires all over the place:
all the wiring along the drivers side door sil going to the rear lights:
cut the harness and ran it through the unibody(had to drill a hole and use a grommet) harness re connects behind the drives seat belt

wiring for the seat belts under the seat(all power belt wiring was removed during tuck)

seat belt light and e brake switch wires:
ran wires in a loom along the E brake cable, through ebrake grommet, and up under the fuel pump access panel where it goes into the fuel sender harness.
    fuel pump and sender wires.
i took off the access panel for the fuel filler neck and ran the harness along side of the fuel lines.

wiring for the dome light was tricky.
i ran the harness under the dash(instead of up the "A" pillar) and ran it along the tail light harness. heres where it got tricky, i thought i could just run the wiring straight down the "B" pillar but it has a wall to prevent that. so had to run the wiring across the top to where the 3rd brake light wiring comes into the body from the rear hatch. from there i looped it back to the front inside the rear 1/4 panel where it rejoins the harness behind the seat belt.

you can see the main power cable running through the sil
I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

the engine bay would be nice to tuck... but just this took me around 9 hours... if im feeling motivated this weekend i may start on the engine bay... i would be nice to have some show with my go... and from whet ive experienced working on a wire tucked engine is way easier due to the massive amounts of space you gain...

Wow that must have been a lot of work, you did a great job but if it was me I would have spent that time under the hood lol but still, nice work

i should do somthing like this for a engine bay wire tuck... its not that bad to do on a stock festiva and it makes it look alot better

nice job looks way better with no wires...

                  Looks good!

Also nice to see something "original," which I'm pretty sure this is.

On the Toyota we stripped the old brown vinyl off the floor and went over it with Gravel Guard II. Way cheaper and just as effective, but it's not all shiny and it's not as textured. Thinking of doing this on Psychobilly too, but my carpet is still pretty decent in the front so I'm not 100% on it.
