  • The $30 paint job

I used a can of tremclad, thinned it with mineral spirits, and sprayed it through a conventional HVLP spray gun. Turned out fantastic.
Just allow proper dry time between coats. No extra finishing, or buffing.

    Dear Fested,

I would like to file a complaint with the audio-visual department please... the lack of pictures in this thread makes me very sad. Please provide a suitable remedy as soon as is conveniently possible. Regards,

Dig the stripe and the cheap paint job in general!

ahh, the spoiler, a thorn for some, amusement for others. Firstly, it started as a joke, then, when a friend handed it to me, free of charge, I had to oblige.
The colour of the black, is black. No guff intended. It's literally tremclad's flat black.
Mismatched rims were unintentional. Haha. I've since changed to 13" metro rims and snow tires.

I would imagine so. Any "rust paint" sold by the gallon will do. It's all essentially the same stuff.
