Ive been looking at dynamat to make my car quieter but have you seen the price of that stuff? I started looking for alternatives and everyone says to use peel and seal from lowes so I went there to get some it was about $16 for a 6 inch by 25 foot roll not to bad but I found some stuff called Tite Seal it came in three different sizes that I saw a 4 inch, 6 inch, and a 9 inch all 33 feet long. I got the 6 inch by 33 feet one it was $8 (really I got 5 of them) I did the roof, doors, quarters, and spare tire area in my '93 Festiva so far its made a huge difference but I have not done the entire floor yet, I will after the next pay check. I doubled it up on every panel I put it on, idk how thick it was but it didnt look as thick as the peel and seal that says its 40mils. I thought you guys might like to know about this if you didnt already I havent heard about this stuff and it saved me a lot of money.

So we can pick this stuff up at Lowes??? I have my door panels off right now. I'll use that instead of the plastic I had to rip off the doors to access my window regulators........

I used a similar material for my sound-proofing project I posted here a while back.. weight is negligible... you won't notice it in acceleration or MPG's, etc. And you're right; it does make the doors shut with a more solid sound.
