Has anyone ever tried to use the eBay Protege and 323 shifters? I'm pretty sure the Festiva shifter is the same as those.

Just ordered mine and it came in. Want to go put it in but I have a wicked bad cold and I don't feel like doing anything as of now.

It's super easy to put in. The hardest part is cutting the spring, its some pretty hard metal. Took me about half an hour to put in

the only difference between the 323/protege shifter and the festiva is the shape. festiva is 1 bend and 323 is an s. the b&m sleeved style shifter will not fit into the festiva floor assembly, but the bare ball/stick style will fit just fine. The plastic cups that hold the ball in place are bigger in the 323/protege. Im not sure how har it would be to modify a 323/protege floor assembly to fit into the festiva other than shortening the solid shift rod. ill head to the jy this weekend looking for a f-series starter anyway, so ill check it out and get back.
Im not driving a Festiva because I'm poor. I drive a Festiva because i want to!

Put my Integra shifter in, works great for an 8.88 investment.

Yeah you can't really complain about the price at all. If there is one thing the Honda Civic guys did for us it was build a wicked cheap aftermarket that we can sometimes utilize, lol.

I think I saw those, and just went with the 8 dollar one cuz the 99 cent one had about 8 dollars for shipping so it really didn't matter to me

I got mine 2 yrs ago haven't had any problems with it. I think it was 3.99 for shipping back when I got it. Its a huge improvment over stock!

...took a stock shifter out of a jy festiva.. cut the bottom part (under the ball) and welded basically and extension in there between the ball and the linkage....this gave my car a very short throw

I bought one of those eBay $9 jobs. Yes, I used a stack of washers too.

The only problem I had was the threads for the knob broke off. I ground mine down and re-threaded it. It's now a touch on the short side, but other than that, it works great.
