Even since i saw the open style grill i fell in love with it, so i decided to make my own.
It was a bit harder with the 93 as the center section attached to the top of the grill.
The first thing i did was take a pencil and ruler and draw a line just after the the top part of the center section started to bend down to the ford emblem and also the center bar.
I then cut along that line getting rid of everything i didnt want.
I then drew a line on the side around the plastic before it started to protrude out to the center part of the grill, and then cut it out. And then fibreglassed the gap.
This next part was a bit tricky, once i sanded the gap to make sure it was flat i got a peice of cardboard and made fibreglass strips. Once they had dried i glued them on using a hot glue gun to keep them stable and then fibreglassed them in.
I next used filler to fill everything in, i think it's safe to say my fibreglassing skills are a bit better then my filling skills hahah.
Then i did a lot of sanding and sprayed on the primer. All i have to do now is smooth the primer and put on a final coat. And i also want to put in some white mesh.
