  • 2 Questions Windows & Doors

    1. My passenger side window is hanging up about 1/2 way going up I've checked and cannot find anything it's catching on. The welds are good on the guides and the regulators seem fine. Any ideas?

    2. My door panels are starting to break down. I'm thinking about making a pattern to cut new panels from plastic. If I go that route how would I connect the panels to the door since the clips would no longer work? My first thought is to use screws. Ideas?

    Thanks

Try spraying or wiping silicon lube in your door tracks and window seals. Spray some down into the window slot, too. Might help. Did me.

Make sure its completly lubed and try it, Does it do it if you guide the window down?

I Plane on making door cards for my festy with thin wood paneling and covering it with grey cloth. I have seen festy door cards installed with screws and as long as you space them right and use the right type screw head, It doesnt look bad.

Lubed them up really good and it's still hanging up. I've given up for today and moved on to the door panels. For the doors I'm going to use acrylic panels and screws. I chose acrylic for it's durability and so that if they get wet all is still good.

Heard you and Sadat are getting together this weekend. Maybe soon I can hook up with you guys.

Anytime you need some help with anything, Me and him can be of assistance.
Currantly in the process of 3 motor swaps, now that mine is done.
He is coming over in a few to help and hang out.

If your taking your panels off, Roll the window up and down while looking in there with a
light and maybe you can see the problem?
I believe there is a bolt or 2 at the base of the window that holds it to the regulator? I cant remember, But with mine, It would tilt off of it till I fixed it.

my windows do the same when it gets warm the broken strands of the plastic/rubber guide is softer and leans inward. when you roll up the window it gets tucked behind it stopping it from rolling up. FIX: new guides or my way hold the window in as long as you can then let go and bring it up. just my .02
