  • Fiberglass hood project

Hey guys I know I would love a FMS hood but I feel as tho they are very limited quantity. So I was taught how to make molds and such so if I started this project what type of hoods would people like. Pictures will help and simple is good.

Like I like the FMS hood. I would buy one if you copy that style Depending on price.

I would like to see a hood that is lighter than the stock one, unlike the most I generally see.
      Current cars:

1993 Ford Festiva 5-Speed - Festiclese III - Cousin of the Banhammer - "The Jalopnik Car"
      1984 Toyota Cressida - 2JZGE Swap, Turbocharged.
2013 Mazda Mazda2 - Exhaust and Wheels (the daily)
      2002 Toyota Tundra - V6/Auto/2WD - The Tow Vehicle.

Well the easiest to do would be to just copy the stock hood in fiberglass but it is more steps to add raised sections or vents ect. So I would like to make one that is sweet but easy to make a mold of

You should probably post your own [WTB] ad instead of threadjacking....haha, just a thought

I like both of those. Maybe 1 like Max's with 1 or 2 cutout on the rear(windshield side), forvents.
If it don't fit, use a bigger hammer!

It's funny because these thoughts have crossed my mind over the passed couple days

Since my CF hood is still perfect, no stone chips at all, glossy smooth etc. i've thought about learning to make a mold from it to produce my own copies (part of the reason why i haven't cut holes in it for hood pins yet)

Once i get that far, take fresh made copy, then try to duplicate the "DJ" modded hood, i've been trying to track down where DJ's hood went but so far no luck

2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
