        Inside view!

Ford Festiva 1993 rear window. I powered it with a 27V DC gear motor that I won on ebay. Just a demonstration of the mechanics.

I was thinking those would be too big and too hard to hide. I won a couple gear motors on ebay and they're perfect for the job. They're about 4 inches tall and an 1" and a 1/2 across.

I'm just using a couple of screw-tight hose clamps secured to the C pillar with big screws to hold the motor and the rest is aluminum and hardware.

Just like regular power windows, the motor stalls at the end of travel. I'll just have to let go of the switch when they're finished opening or closing like regular power windows.

I always wanted that. My problem is that I am out of switch holes. Every one is filled up.

I'm hoping I can get an armrest from an Escort with four door power windows to mount on my door panel.

Why not order a power window kit from Mirko in Germany?
left & right winders, armrests, switches. You could use the wiring harness from a 91 Mazda MPV. It had similar switches in the armrests.
I am in the process of taking one apart at the junk yard.
I will finish getting the wiring that goes behind the dash to the door harnesses on each side.
My Kia Pride wiring manual came from England today.
I took it in immediately to get scanned before I hit Standard Auto Wreckers.
It is complete. It has all the wiring including, power windows, power door locks and power antenna. I will post a pdf file on Monday so that everyone can check for any errors.
All pages were separate and only in black and white. Excellent detail. Worth every penny.

I think that the German Kia console would be best for separate control for each of the rear wing windows. The armrests would control the front windows.

See I would do this, but I never use my rear windows. I want to find a way to make them actually roll down, but thats alot of fab work I dont plan on doing to my festy. lol

Darn, you beat me to it! Good stuff man. I use my rear windows a lot (when I have a Festi on the road) and I've always thought about grabbing one from a minivan.
