  • ranger headlight conversion

    ive searched and seen that nobody has documented or even verafied if the conversion can be done. here is the lights im looking at, does anybody have some info as far as fitment issues or curvature issues??



    88 festiva lx, 2.3 turbo rwd swap in progress
    1999.5 f-350 4x4 7.3 gtp38r 5" exhaust ect.
    R.i.p. 1990 Western Star 5964s 3406b 530whp (4.2mpg!)

    My dad has a 2007 Mazda B4000. I got to looking at those headlights and eventually measured them up against the Festiva headlamps. Extremely close dimensions including the curve. That's what I've thought about swapping for personally. A little shorter and wider than those ones by the look of it.

      I saw pics very recently somewhere on here of a car this mod was done to. I'm thinking it was the Alabama guys.

          ive been thinkin of doing the same conversion however, im going to look and see if i can bring the ranger corner lamp along with it. the "eye lid" already has to be modified to fit the ranger lights so why not remove it and use the corner lamps as well?

              still too tall to fit verticaly and they're longer as well.
              Trees aren't kind to me...

              currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
              94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

                  no, sorry, didn't look. not too bad actually, i think i may have to try that myself.

                        It seems like you are going for the halo headlights. If so, you should check out this link. One of my buddies did this for his motorcycle and they turned out great. I am thinking about trying it myself.

                              Lots of cutting. Swap 2 wires on each headlight plug to make it work.
                              Previous:
                              1991 GL. (01' ranger lights!) P/S,A/C Sold to Mum.
                              1990 auto. hacked up rally toy.
                              1988 5 speed. The pile
                              1993 5 speed.
                              1995 5 speed aspire. Gutted for the 90' auto.
