Yeah I don't honestly see how this could of been made any better. Are you running the MS? I thought it had the capabilities to convert the signal?

I have seen several "perfect" festivas on this board over the years and by no one fault of their owners, one by one=partouts. I enjoy the documented exploits of the function over form examples much more.

        Sword fights. Ha!

I did the same thing to my tach cluster, put in this Protege speedo. The speedo needle goes over the temp needle, so there is no conflict

Actually, no. While I don't think it looks great, I can appreciate the function and ingenuity.

As long as you like it, I see no problem with it. I did one a while back when I had a BP car that used both the protege 140 speedo and the BP protege 7k tach, and ended up making a custom face for it. Here's the build thread if you're interested

Kinda long, but there are pics.
            No festiva for me ATM...

If it works well, is accurate, and you can read it easily while driving (duh), I would certainly like it. "How it looks" often comes in near last to me, right along with "how does it smell?" or "can I use it to mow the lawn with?" So things that look or smell really bad would need to be dealt with. Mowing the lawn is just icing on the cake.

              Lemme put this another way:

"It's not how exclusive it is, it's how you put it together to make it work the way you want and make it your own."

We ain't driving Rolls Royce Silver Spridgets here! (But yes, you can add burled walnut if you really want!)
