  • Vinyl?

anyone ever experimented with vinyl? One of my best friends runs a business where he just makes vinyl and he will basically make me anything at however much it costs him to make, So anyone ever done it? adding pinstripes, logos, words or festiva writing? Never tried it on a car before wondering if it looks nice or looks ghetto. Give me advice, tips, ideas for designs? any info would be awesome. Thanks guys.

I've done a fair amount of ricer vinyl on my truck. I bought a $19 roll of 5" wide black rally stripe from Autozone. I used it to make my own custom side stripes based losely on the old Grabber & Mach I side stripes. The first time was a "bumblebee" stripe, but it looked too Mopar-ish, so I pulled it off and replaced it with the horizontal side stripes. I used an exacto knife to freehand cut where needed (rounded corners, letters, etc.). It's actually very easy to work. The best part is if you don't like it you can pull it off and re-do it or change it up. I still have enough of the $19 roll left to do another truck if I want. As far as "ghetto", it depends on your individual taste and what you design! I will say this, They have been on for 2 years and have not faded, peeled up, been effected by spilled gas or high pressure car wash spray or anything. They look as good as the day I put them on. They look as good or better than any factory graphics.

Nice! I like the truck, set gonna get some stripes. And 99% chance of adding festiva in massive font on the back. Should be fun !
