  • Widebody club, I want in!

How many we have on here? Active posters? The work involved to fix my driver's side back to normal seems the same as the amount of work on a custom flare in the rear. Just asking for advice and help in making this a reality. If i were to put on some really big flares on the rear it still will not cover the damage, so some sheetmetal massaging is needed. I really like kiaporsche's thread, but i don't want to go all out on it, just make the body straight again with more personality.

Widebody on a FWD has it's purpose. Wide tire for the mad handling.

The door not closing right is more tarded. I dont want it to look like its a rwd car, no. But something no more aggressive than a vw would be what I'm looking for.

How big of a flare would be adequate for most people and not look stupid? Been kicking around making a replacement fiberglass fender and a full fiberglass quarter. But I'm thinking of incorporating a different taillight and headlights, corner lights and possibly a grille.

You guys can hate me for this but I think body wise, the shogun is a little too much. The platform is sweet no doubt thou!!

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the shogun, but the concept behind it is amazing. I want a L67 Turbo V6 rwd festy.

I personally love the shogun and boxy cars with wide fenders. I was really hoping that the guy that got DJ's fenders was going to continue the work.

I like flares too... and apparently I need to add some, I have rubbing issues but refuse to get rid of my wide tires and low stance... so I have a friend who is a foreman at a metal shop. My theory is that he will be able to form me up some flares to weld or attach somehow to my existing fenders. I'm not sure what gauge of metal to use but hopefully he should be able to direct me a little better.

The only way I'd bother with having a wide body kit is if I ran 8" rims... then it would not only be incredibly legit, but also quite justified. Silver said these stick out 2.5", which would be a nice conservative width for a WBK.
