  • Needing help with metric speedo with tach

I need a how to wire up my metric speedo and tach into my 91. Search function brings up old dead links? Any suggestions I want an easy as possible way to get it to work. I am not a fan of wiring.
    Thanks guys.

Is this just another Festiva cluster because if it is it should just be plug n play.

Not if it's metric, if it is a metric tach cluster and it came from overseas then the circuit board is totally different, if you get a US tach cluster you can swap the circuit boards to make the metric cluster plug and play

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

not sure what issue you are talking about...Brian had a kmh cluster in his car and he popped it out and put in a MPH cluster I gave him and it was just plug and play.

That was probably a Canadian one, not one from overseas.

                            mechanical

All Festiva speedos are mechanical. As the speedometer cable turns in the transmission, the speedometer needle responds accordingly. It is not electrical. If you have a 180 kph speedo from Europe, you should have bought the European speedometer cable too. The teeth spacing on the end of the gear are spaced for stock wheels and tires. You will still be in the ballpark with a North American cable. Who cares if you are off a few kph.
