  • Non-festiva clusters

I have seen a few 323 examples, and some people have added gauges from protege into the festiva board, has anyone just taken something more off the wall? the rx-7 of same vintage appears to be close, but ive never been behind the wheel of one to really get a good look:

I think a functioning oem boost gauge although probably innacurate being 20-30 years old keeps the attention factor down.

Electronic boost gauges are never accurate. Mechanical is the way to go.

A lot of oem gauges are mechanical in the back of clusters, especially older cars. They are just tiny. If i use a manual boost controller along with a low psi wastegate the valve in it is going to be pretty precise, and ill know what it's set to. I'm just looking for simplification, making the car functional but simple. I don't want this broken into because its a 500 dollar car with 500 worth of gauges. It may be sitting in the street a week at a time.

I have a spare Rx7 cluster in my garage, and all I can really say is it is a little too big. Unless you're fine with cutting into your dash =/

Cutting is fine if it still fits behind the square cover when its out of surgery

You really won't have to worry about theft. Most people can't see past that it's a Festiva. I currenty have $350 worth of gauges on my dash and no one gives them a second look unless I point them out. If you go to the JY grab the gauge pod from a 88-91 Mitsu Montero and put your gauges in it.

Go to the photo gallery under Motoxpress' white Festiva. Third pic down to see what it looks like installed.
