  • Oh how i wish i had the money to do this.....

i have wanted to design and build a custom festiva for a while now but theres no way im gonna be able to afford to do any of this til i hit the lotto. i did a bunch of sketches a few years ago but cant find them so im redoing the design sketches. i only have one done so far but you get the point of what i want to do. ill be adding sketches as i get them done with various other views of mods i had ideas for that would make it a one of a kind car. sure it looks similar to a shogun but the ideas i came up with will put it into a league of its own. well heres the first sketch i did of it so far.

That's some great talent you have there... I presume you've seen Minigun's build? I think you'd find it quite inspiring.

no i havent seen minigun's, but i have had this in my head for quite some time not. for the drive train i had a small block 289 in mind. i saw a festy with a 350 in the back once so i think it would be cool to do that

Look into it... pretty easy to find around these parts. He seems to make new threads every time he updates the car rather than one continuous build thread though, which is a bit of an inconvenience if you're interested in the whole she-bang.

amazing drawing. it would be nice to see someone apply that onto a festy... would you be able to do the same drawing with a isuzu stylus front bumper?
I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

if i have a pic of it it wouldnt be hard to do. thats one of things about my drawings that i do. sometimes my friends have me draw whatever car theyr working on at the moment and do a concept sketch of what the parts and paint my look like

Fiberglass isn't that expensive man... just takes lots of time and patience to get a good product in the end. If you find the right place you could probably even have that formed out of sheet metal.

I wish I had even a tenth of your talent for sketching!

Nice. I used to do this stuff constantly through school. Haven't touched a pencil or charcoal in years now. Tried to recently, and it's nearly all gone.

Good thing you have plenty of inspiration generators around you. Keep it flowing.

yeah i quit drawing in high school for about 6 months and it took a long time to get back to where i was before i stopped but im way past that now since ive been out of hs for 12 years lol. yep Lmcclure that is a variation of ur grill without the emblem on it. although for the name for it i was thinkin either Frankenstein or Frankenstiva lol.
all of my skills are in drawing the cars. other than a few small things here and there i have almost no skill in fabrication and dont know the first thing about fibergless.
if anyone is curious i have a website with the majority of my work on it. http://classic-art-by-jp.deviantart.com
