160 bucks shipped rounding up v. great britain pounds. That sounds a lot more reasonable than something from california local to me who wants $199+shipping and WON'T do will call.

    New email from Rob

    Hi Dan

I take it you never saw this thread, its gone viral amongst many car forums, literally everywhere,

If you haven't seen it it would explain quite a lot, I believe the guy in your club who has a set came across it.

    Arches (1 set of 4) are £65

I can't do group buys at this moment in time due to other contractual work commitments, individual orders are ok.

Shipping to States has gone up again in costs, for 1 set boxed economy airmail 7-10 days is £35 ( I checked today ;o/ )

Turnaround is about 7-10 days due to the fact I'm working away on site at the moment.

Paypal is the prefered payment method.

If you could ask driver one and safety guy to email, I really didn't receive anything especially an extensive email?

Hope this helps......and clears the air a little better.

    Rob

    ....and my response:

    Thank you Rob.
Your right, I didnt see that thread about the arches.
I apoligize about my "colorfulness", but I do get a little huffy, when I ask again and again about something and do not get a response.
So...we are talking L 100 , for the arches shipped to the States? (i'll have to look up the conversion rate, I have no idea what that is in U.S. dollars) Sounds good, and paypal is the preferred payment method for me too.
I will let Driverone and Safety Guy know that their emails did not go thru. Thanks.

    Dan

Ghost, I'm glad you got a set of one-off flares. That just makes your car all the more unique! It seems that the designer is busy and can handle only small orders, so it seems that Nerd saved the day with his eBay find! I'm sad, but such is life. On to buying some Miata flares! From the US! Drddan, your license plate should now say COLRFUL

Okay, I dont really know what is up with this guy, Rob Simpson, but I sent a "colorful" email to him, and I got a reply. (it seems the only time he replies is when sent a "colorful" email.

    Here is his reply:

    Hello Dan

Thank you for your "colourful" email regarding the arches.

From the last email I sent you I explained the turnaround and approximate shipping costs in the Email Dated August 26th.

As you seemed to be the direct contact and the person organising the whole group buy for your fellow club mates and, as I am not

a member of the Ford Festiva site,so I don't know what is being requested or ordered or even how organised the group buy was,

all I needed from you was a definite order with quantities required, date required, shipping address etc.

I've done this twice now with other clubs and had no trouble what so ever.

I've had no other contact from you, or any other Festiva members since that last email, so I can only assume that you've found someone else

closer to home and I'm certainly not going to spend time making anything without a firm order (would you?)

I've been working under contract since September 1st, so I've only managed to make a couple of sets for some of the guys here in the UK,

I suggest that if you or your club want any arches then individual requests via email is no problem, it never has been, I've shipped these

    items worldwide without any problems.

I've sent sent a copy of this email to the Ford Festiva Administrators, I hope they will clarify the situation to those wanting sets.

    Rob.

    My reply to that:

I have asked you 3 times in 3 different emails what a set would cost shipped to me. Not shipping costs, but the total price, shipped to me. You have not answered me, even once.
A few guys from the site have emailed you, without reply. Driverone is one of them, and Safety Guy , who sent an extensive email asking about the group buy, and he has not gotten a reply from you either. So no one knows how much the arches cost, or how much shipping is on a group buy. We were wanting to get this info for the group buy, before we made a purchase. Without you replying to any of our emails, did you expect us to just send you money?

Really, you should reply to anyone asking about the arches, if you are a legimate businessman.
It seems as though the only time you reply, is if I send a "colorful" email, as you put it, and thats because I get tired of waiting for a reply from you. Its been 2 months since the group has tried to find out about the arches. 15 people were in it, and they are now dropping out because of no reponse from you.

BTW, I am not the leader of the group buy. I would get in on it, if it happened, but as I stated 3 times before, I just want a set, and do not care if I am in on the group buy, or not.

    Dan

just go on ebay and order the miata fiberglass bolt on fenders. I looked at a listing that actually had dimensions and they will work.
