PS - has it occurred to anyone else that we could get him to mildly tweak the designs so it directly fits onto a Festiva shell? After all, we're paying big bucks for almost 30 of the same part. Why not spice things up a little bit using measurements and pointers from Ghost?

Hello Mr. Simpson!

I know you may be tired of receiving a bunch of email from FordFestiva.Com members in the past few weeks concerning your delectable wheel arches. I apologize for any problems or ill feelings that we may have caused! I understand you were on holiday.

I am writing to see if we can get something going on a group buy, the better to take advantage of any bulk shipping economies, if such exists. I have not done this before, but here are my thoughts:

1. What would be the ideal size order (in sets; one set being four arches) of wheel arches to send to the U.S? You indicated that two sets sent to Norway via economy Airmail was 35 pounds. Are there slower (cheaper) methods of international shipping? Would four sets, or six sets perhaps, be cheaper to send when divided by the shipping cost per set? I am hoping you might know or be able to find out. I am looking for the best sized shipment in terms of cost. (The lower the cost, the more folks would probably be interested.)

2. I also realize that your time and desire is also an issue. How many sets would you be willing to make at once? You should advise me of this as well. Also, what is the cost of each set?

3. Ideally, we will get together and do one order to see how it goes. Once our folks get the arches and install them, pictures will be posted and no doubt more interest would be garnered. There may be more orders in the future!

4. Do you have PayPal in the UK? If so, that would feel safe enough to me to put up most or all of the money myself to streamline the order process. Then I would make sure the arches were delivered to the other customers. (I would be up for one set myself.)

5. Finally, we have a very large (largest in the world?) Festiva meet coming up October 1st. This would be an ideal place to distribute the arches, if there is enough time for you to make and ship them. Although I live in Columbus, Ohio, there is an address in Raleigh, North Carolina where the meet will be held, so the shipment could go directly there.

We currently have around ten people interested in purchasing these arches. I would think an order of up to five arches, maybe six would be a good start, if that number is agreeable to you.

Again, sorry for any disorganization or undue speculation which may have occurred! We are an eager bunch, though!

I say this because I have seen the other emails you have replied to, and they are EXACT copies, except for changing of the names of the recipient.

Do you plan on actually getting back to any of us?

From the last email I sent with all the details, I was waiting for you or one of your colleagues to reply regarding quantities.

I am offended that you think this is "BS" as I have been on holiday with my family during this summer break

(I can take time off from time to time) and I sent a generic email to all (five in total) who enquired from the festiva forum regarding the arches,

having to go through 30+ emails a day it does make my job easier and answers the same question.

I make these arches in my spare time as I have enough on my plate during work hours.

If you and your club mates are still interested turnaround is about 10 days minimum depending on quantities

and recently our wonderful post office increased it's prices for overseas parcels, whilst decreasing the overall dimensions (typical)

e.g. two sets sent to a race team in Norway cost £35 Economy airmail takes about 7 - 10 days delivery.

I wasnt trying to offend, its just that several of us have emailed you a couple times with out a reply back.
The folks on the forum were thinking of a group buy. I could get in on the group buy or not, it doesnt matter to me, I would just like a set. It may be cheaper to do the group buy for shipping, but I dont care how I get a set, as long as I get a set. Group or not.
I will let them know, that I have heard from you, as the peeps on the forum were all wondering the same thing as I was. ...i.e. "What happened to the guy with the flares (arches)?"
I did send you an email requesting a total price for one set shipped to 63116 in the USA, and did not hear back from you on that either.
If you could, I would still like a total price shipped to 63116 for one set...and I will also inform the peeps on the forum about getting a total quantity together for the group buy.
