  • Woohoo!! 110mph cluster.. INSTALLED

took me most of the day because I didn't have the pinout to the 98 UK 110mph white faced tach cluster... but I pulled it off.. Now I need to do some mph tests.. I had it up to 102.. But I want my buddy to do the radar thing and see how close it is... I started installing the gauges.. got the Autometer sending unit installed.. and pulled the wire to the cluster.. but I have it dangling til I get back on it tomorrow...

Edit: Here's a pic.. and I haven't recovered my custom dash yet..

You had to rewire your car for this to work? I thought it was plug and play.

no sir... the 98 version plugs in the same but all the wire locations are different and it uses more of them than our standard Festy.. does so I ended up chasing down a few pins that aren't even used on our cars.. oh and it doesn't have a check engine light or seat belt light.. but it has a rear fog and hazard light

Can I get a copy of which wires you needed to add/switch? My 110 speedo did come with plugs on the back of it though.

It wouldn't have been hard if I had the original plugs with wire stubs on them. Once Brian either posts or sends me a pic of the circuitboard with the plugs on it, I can make a how to.. right now I have 4 pages of chicken scratch comparing the 90 LX cluster wire colors and pinouts to the 92 evtm pinouts and trying to get the 98 UK pinouts to match..but I had no diagram, so there were a couple of things that will be cleared up on it.. like the rear fogs and hazard flasher at the bottom.. once I see them..

I just got mine installed as well

Thanks for the tip on switching out the circuit boards, much easier then wiring it all up.

Sorry I didn't post this earlier, but what Zeeknof is talking about is using a US white faced tach cluster's circuitboard instead of remapping the wires.. much easier, takes about 20mins to switch out circuit boards..

Yep, mine goes in tomorrow! I just need to lube the speedo cable so it quits squeaking!

I used Lock-Ease.. graphited lock fluid.. kind of messy, but I only had to do it once 2 years ago.

Are there any calibration issues with this cluster? I had a Euro cluster at one point and it read about 20% high... when I was doing 80 kph it read 100 kph.

If yours works out I may start a search for my own....
