  • spoiler option...

    so, i dunno if its been done or thought of, but i had a (to me) brilliant idea of the sun visors for trucks used as a spoiler on our cars....im thinking they might be a little longer then some might like but mounting looks very similar to what the festy mounting is/would be without the metal brace on the sides, or maybe the metal brace could be used...anyway...

    let me know if it sounds ridicilous or not or what you think...thanks...

    price is decent, you could give it a try and if its a no-go I'm sure you could sell it on craigslist.

      Ive thought about the same thing. I have one on my Ranger that I should take off and see how it works.

        That's what I recommended in this thread but OP wanted it on front instead....
        Discuss enhancing your Festiva or Aspire interior and exterior (including custom paint, bodywork, seats, etc)

          If you look at the way a visor is constructed, it gains significant strength from it's length. It also gains mounting stability by a considerable overlap onto the roof of the vehicle. The rear of our Festy's don't have that much area to mount too, since the hatch has to open and actually go behind the roof line. It may still be possible, since the aero force will be considerably less on the rear, compared with the front. Have at it, and show us what you come up with.

              honestly. Honest? I like it. Really. That thing on a festy would look awesome. Big whale spoiler on a square box. I like the concept.
