  • Aspire seats at PnP

Went to my local LQK you pull to get seats from a '96 Aspire for a swap to my Festy. They wanted $100. for the pair , I ask if they were gonna pull them for that price. They said no, I said no thanks. Isn't that a little much too pay at a PnP?:nono:

Private enterprise is first and foremost a system that bases prices on supply and demand. Either the YJ figures someone is waiting in line behind you willing to pay top dollar, they're in no hurry to sell, you looked like a money-flush sucker, or if fact the salesman wishes financial harm (ie no income) for his boss.
Now I grant you last fall I grudgingly forked over $150 to have the rights to scavenge the entire pristine interior (all of the seats plus door panels etc) out of a JY Festy LX near me. Yet I'd bought an entire LX car just like it 5 years earlier for $75 including alloy wheels, mirrors, rear wiper etc etc, but from a private seller that wanted the 'damned car' out of his driveway right away.

Last year after the St Louis meet, we headed to Taylers Salvage, i bought a pair of Mazda Protege seats for $50 and realy like them.

Lkq yards are way over priced all the pnPs that arent lkq affiliated are very reasonable lkq is on its way to being a yard monopoly but with the prices there trying to get they wont be successfull . They have bought up a lot of yards in the past 5 years they only have like 2-3 self serve yards

I hit the LKQ's kinda regularly and they are def. over pricing themselves out of the market. They used to be pretty competitive but it seems that after they bought out all the Cophers they started raising their prices up. unfortunately for me there are not many PNP's around me so I'm still better off paying their prices.

if you buy seats for 100 bucks I would hope they'd be EGT or something really nice.

my aspire seats are nice but not nearly as comfy as some of the other swaps people do.

best of luck finding cheaper seats.

Thats a completely understandable rate for seats, in my opinion, as long as the seats are being pulled from a ferrari.

I have the Aspire seats in my Aspire and EGT seats in my Festy. The Aspires are more comfy for long trips; not as hard IMO. Around town doesn't matter.
