Get a high brow european triangle lighted hazard switch out of something else and stick it as you please as you already know the aspire colors.

      That's an alternative ^.^

It's going to be awhile before this car sees' the road again, shortly after I confirmed this was working, I did a compression test and then started dismantling the engine, I've got everything off the front and back of the block/head, just need to devise a lift and pull it and the transmission out. Looking for a new motor to put back in it, then I'm gonna do some work and try to put it in the tiny little hole of an engine bay.

Here's a link to the pics I took from start to finish, I didn't get a whole lot, and the wiring diagram isn't there yet, I'll get it together when I get a minute..

Pretty cool. I dumped a decent aspire a few years back because i hate wiring and want to go fast. Now that i know what i want I have to do about the same wiring to hit my future goals anyway. 'Tis OK I might pick up an aspire for another DD. There are a lot of aspire owners on here, its good that you are laying out some work for others to use.

Well it's just the fabled escort gt's 323's and merc capri's and all those cars we generate parts from are getting scarce around here. If I had the option, I would have went the easy route, but I gotta make due with what I got/can get. I'm really suprised it worked, I've heard of people having issues with a positive trigger switch, and luckily, this was not one. Our cars' wiring is all on a neutral trigger, meaning it constantly has power (wether +12v constant or +12v run/start from ign) and things are turned on when the circuit is completed with a ground wire. It's weird, and hard to grasp at first,, but it's true. With it wired like this it's really hard on relays if you try to add too many extra features too.

At that point id get creative, like go to manual seat belts and use that relay for the fuel pump(unless it controls multiple things already) Good thing those relays are so plentiful.
