  • projectors for HID

I love my HID headlights . Some say projectors make them better.
I looked at several web sites and the Festy was not listed but they
say to order a clear lens kit and a projector. I did not find any
instructions on installing the clear lenses or the projector.
Are the lens and projectors that much better? How is it done??

Not sure what you're talking about; but, reminded of when there were more aftermarket Festiva items sold.

There used to be protective clear plastic headlight covers; probably legal only off-road, though which a person could use without too much threat of getting caught. I spaced out ordering a pair too long, so they were unavailable after awhile.

I am always worried about getting a rock through a headlight lens, and have already repaired one hole in one with some epoxy cement I let almost harden then applied, which took a couple tries to get that right. A commercial place put a plug in to fix the problem; but, that came apart after about six months: Whereas my fix of their fix, is still good after a decade.

Hey, I've had the car since June of '99 and new in '91; so twenty-one and legal to drink now! And we've been going steady thirteen years, too. Glad I'm not stuperstitious.

Ford Fester, I went with the 100 watt High and low, about 9 months ago. The
Geeks are the only place I could find them. All the others either were mono
beam or high beam was halogen, low was hid.

Bobstad..I am not sure what the lens kit is either, I have never seen one
except OEM new cars and trucks. There are not any OEM festiva ones.
Any info on adding clear lenses and projectors is what I need. I did a
projector install for HID on one of my snowmobiles, it works great but
Looks kind of funny, I want this to look like it was made this way.

The jag projector I used on the snowmobile is way to long to work
in a festy, are the projectors offered in kits short enough to fit?

try the projectors from a last gen mercury cougar, in the contour world we commonly chop them out and install them into our housings.

Also, the covers he is talking about were made by GTS. I have a set of the smoked covers that ill be using with my VW roundy lamps when i get time to fab up some mounting brackets for them.

These covers fit the projector, they don't replace the glass
front of our headlight housings ?

you could always go for the ranger retrofit with projector housings:

                  -W.F.
