it's funny how much an FC Rx7 fender looks like a Festiva fender! Sweet vid!Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Wow, that is very impressive for roll on paint. I think the key to it is to know the process and be patient.

I really really want to do this soon. I'd rather spray since it the results would be better than rolling plus it would be much quicker.
Anyone know the minimum compressor size for a HVLP gun from harbor freight. My compressor is 10 gallon / 125 PSI.

It's not really the size and max pressure that matters, it's the CFM that the compressor puts out. I think minimum is like 7.5 cfm, I'm pretty sure most people recommend at least 10 someone correct me if I'm wrong. Size will only allow you to spray longer untill the motor kicks in, but if you have a low output it won't keep up once it does.2002 Ford Mustang GT Mineral Grey 5 spd

That guy made a great, very detailed (for the length) video. Very clear, very informative and very entertaining video! It makes me really really want to do this now!
I wasn't planning on painting Aqua, but I'm thinking this would be a good thing to do, panel by panel, perhaps experimenting with some little variations on the theme to see what happens. Aqua would still be a "Mutt" while allowing me to learn about this technique in preparation for doing a really nice job on my "dream build" some day. Or at least another build which I want to look nicer than a "Mutt."
Can't wait for Spring!!
Oh, and THANKS FOR THE LINK Kingfish. I'm sure we all appreciate it!

I once painted (inside and outside) a '71 VW Type II Camper using brown Rustoleum primer that I put on with a brush, followed by Rustoleum yellow from spray cans. It turned out pretty well, to the point that you could see yourself in the shiny finish.88L black, dailydriver

im getting ready to attempt this on my passenger fender & have spent 34.00 on the paint, clear, sandpaper & tack cloth. im trying to turn my aqua fender into a surf blue one & i know its not going to match but from 20 feet it might look ok im using spray paint instead of a roller though.Never Hire a Boy to do a Man's Job!!

My brother is finishing up the rust repair on his '85 F150 project truck and is planning on spraying Rustoleum with his Harbor Freight LPHV gun. Should be ready for paint in a couple weeks. Also planning on adding some retro Boss 302 type hockey-stick stripes. When we get it done, I'll post some pics of the results (unless they're really bad) and do a short write-up on how we did it. I'm pretty excited to be able to try this......especially on someone elses vehicle, LOL!Brian
