  • Are you down with the force?

Thought I'd start a thread dedicated to aero-styling.
Post up pics/plans of your mods to increase downforce.

I've just cut out some patterns from cardboard for some cannards to give the fronts more grip/control at high speeds.Pics of finished product in alloy to come.(gotta get married tomorrow first before I can start on yet another little project haha)

    Post away!

    Congrats!

I don't have much in the way of aero mods since my cars rarely peg the factory speedo at 85 lol. But I bet AdvanceDynamix will be helpful on this
    No festiva for me ATM...

Here is a wind tunnel simulation of a festiva with and with out the rear spoiler, as you can see it does more then just look good. The pink area is low pressure drag.

Htchbck, aero mods are effective even at relatively low speeds.
You could well see and effect during the delivery driving you do!

Oh, I know, I guess I should have clarified that I don't know much (or need much) to do with downforce to increase "grip/control at high speeds" like the OP asked Also, for the driving I do the best mod would be straighter, flatter roads
          No festiva for me ATM...

At this point, aero mods are completely pointless for my car...... Not that I would ever install them anyways lol

            1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
            1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

how far does your wing sit off the hatch in that .gif?

ive been planning on building a kammback for a while now. just need it to warm up a lil so the fiberglass will set.

aero is the main reason i went with the isuzu stylus front bumper. i am currently in the process of designing an under body tray and side skirts.
I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

I'll make my front air dam out of 1/4" thick lead.

It should be effective, though the design won't really matter too much.

My patterns are roughly based on these cannards on this evo Vl.

Though they wont be quite as big, obviously I wont have the 600+hp this evo does
