I thought the main reason people were doing the headlight thing is if they were running HID lights and they were trying to keep from blinding people.....at least I thought that was the main reason other then just for the look."FLTG4LIFE" @FINALLEVEL , "PBH"

The projector focus protects other people if adjusted properly.
HID with no projector ( remove halogen install HID ) is great
for the driver but scatters a lot of light toward the eyes of
other drivers. It saves energy, much more efficient than halogen.
The color can be tailored to a drivers preference and environment.

I read somewhere, a while back when HID were first coming onto market, there were water cooled "High Pressure Sodium" lights for your cars headlights. I imagine those would some INTENSE light!Dan
