    DriverOne,

I never looked up above the "old" style "hooks" to see what holds them on to the car. Are they not somehow bolted onto the "frame" like the "new" style?

I have a couple of 88LX bodies into which I was going to transplant FI engines someday. It would really be nice to upgrade those bodies to the new style hooks in order to be able to move the hitch I had made (or more like it) around from car to car as required.

The old hooks are pressed into the frame. I think you'd have to cut the whole assembly apart to make a flat area to bolt the new style in, if you could keep 'em from ripping out... Not sure, though.

I am going to experiment with this soon. I'm going to grind/torch off the wire ones and weld the new style on. I will let everyone know how it goes.
