I have a set of Hella 500 driving lights, with all the relays and switch and bits. Just wondering, since fogs were a factory option overseas, is there existing wiring for them? Any of the guys from the Philippines feel free to chip in here.

^ not the GTX units. Fersh should have more info on this but IIRC he has a set (or pic of one) mounted on a car, dealer installed FORD driving lights.Trees aren't kind to me...

New Question: These lights are too big to mouont under the bumper. And I prefer the rally style top mount. I've got all the wiring laid out. Now the question is how to mount the lights. I was planning on just drilling a hole in the bumper cover for the through bolt. But there is a lot of steel and styrofoam in there with no space to stick a bolt. If any body with bumper mounted lights could chip in here (Sasquatch...) that'd be cool. My only other plan is to mark on the styrofoam where I could cut out a relief for the bolt to stick through. Thanks Heaps folksOwner of:

It's the styrofoam and steel underneath the cover that prevents any mounting bolts from sticking through. I think what I'll Havering do is cut out a relief in the styron to allow the bolt to stock through. I also can't Haverhill car off the road for more than a day. But I'll try taking the cover off next Friday.Owner of:

I have the exact same Hella lights that I have never installed because I'm still trying to figure the bumper thing out myself. I hate to cut up a good bumper cover, just in case I want to take them off. My plan is to make a bracket out of angle iron that bolts in the same holes as the license plate. It will hold the plate, but then have a tab that sticks out on each side of the plate to attach the lights to.Brian

not a bad idea, does anyone know if the styrofoam piece is bonded or bolted to the steel, It'd probably be easier just to pull the styro off and then put the cover back onOwner of:
