Good info about the styro. The kit I got has all the wiring, terminals, and switches I need.

Should be able to bolt to the bumper and come up behind the bumper cover then
skim the cover coming out from under the grill, no messing up painted stuff.

If you just take off the front bumper you should be able to design a "base bracket" that will hold a stem to go up to the fog light between the bumper top and grille bottom when installed. If you're really good, you might do it without taking the bumper off.

There are largish holes in the back of the front bumper steel that you can see and (maybe) access from between the grille and front crosspiece area. The big thing in your way would be the radiator.

If you can get some "base mounts" on the back of the bumper, it would be cake to build bolt-on "stems" to serve as fog light mounts.

The back of the bumper holes sorta look like this:

        O__O__O__O__O

Should be able to stick something in them and create a tightening method for bolts to hold a bracket "stem."

I see what you're talking about, for the sake of simplicity and the lack of any decent fab tools or metal to fab, I'll just bolt through the cover. Shouldn't shake too much... I hope. It felt like there was a fair chunk of solid boxed steel above the hole that prevents from drilling from outside the cover through the steel bumper for mounting hole, but I'll look more when I get the cover off.
