i actually bought the rustoleum gloss black yesterday for the steelies. plan to do it tommorow, i'll post pics when done.looks awesome! paint the steelies to thats cheap and easy ! all black
definately no negative effect on mpg's. i was averaging about 40ish, before the bedliner. after ive been averaging 45ish with my all time peak of 47 once.... no this is all the new paint job, at the same time i installed my new k n air filter, and new denso o2 sensor, and fixed my cooling fan running all the time issue. and also got my tach cluster with trip meter installed. also started employing some hypermilling techniques. i wish now i did everything at different times so i can share the results. my wife says ive gone festiva crazy. ohh and no its not louder at all, cant even tell a differencei wonder if it will affect your gas mileage. does the car seem louder going down the road?93 L plus 5 speed, custom herculined paint job, custom billet grille

The Golf ball's shape is due to the requirement of attached flow to keep the ball inline while it's spinning. Your car doesn't spin, bud.Originally posted by Movin View PostI like !!! It should improve your mileage, this tells me we have the aerodynamics of a golf ball!!
Each of those dimples causes a small vortex that keeps flow attached beyond the horizon of the ball, helping to stabilize it's path. It's all about predictable flight.
Each of the vortexes actually induces drag, moreso than a smooth surface would, but the overall effect on a spinning ball is that the cumulative drag of the vortices reduces overall drag via flow attachment, lessening the wake of the ball, causing the flow to attain more of a "tear drop" shape while the ball stays on a straight trajectory.
TL;DR - No golf ball effect on cars.
