    THAT is acrylic lacquer.

Remember what I posted about paints that have "bite"?

Well, lacquer happens to be a paint that CANNOT be used over oil/alklyd enamel, like is on your car now.

Unless you can find a compatible sealer the likelyhood of lifting with that paint is pretty much guaranteed.

Take it back or go to a regular paint supply store and ask if they have a sealer that will go over oil based paint AND can be topcoated with lacquer.

    Just my 2¢.

    HA!!
I didnt even buy it, I just posted this just run it by yall.

      • Any tips on what to do with the plastic parts that have spray paint on them?

        • I clean the rubber and plastic stuff with mineral spirits immediately after removing tape. I remove tape immediately after painting to prevent it from pulling off the dry paint.

          • Ok... as you may notice the front grill has spray paint.
I tried to sand it but that would ruin the plastic. You are saying try that too on it?

              Use a plastic safe stripper.

Are you saying that is regular paint thinner or something fancy?

Fancy. Go to a paint supply house. They will help you out.

                    • Well your best bet is sanding.

Did a little research for you and what's out there I think the best thing will be sanding with water.

I've used Goof Off for plastics but I don't want you to ruin something.
