I have seen someone use the ones from an escort, but the middle clip thing doesn't line up. I've personally looked at some in proteges before, they "look" like they would be close to lining up, but I've always been happy enough with the factory ones myself. What kind of improvements are you wanting? Bigger visors? Vanity mirrors? etc?.

As for feedback, I have to say that I am genuinely impressed with your grammar and punctuation in this post, it was much easier to read than some of your previous ones!
    No festiva for me ATM...

I have recovered some visors for the different Baja's I have had because it was
cheaper than JY ones here. But you easterners get incredible deals out of yards..

I cannot sew a lick but visors were pretty easy, I made the wrong side out so
the stitches would be hid and pulled them on like a sock. New material to
suit your fancy is so cheap...

thanks, i like using commas, but its not good grammer IVE BEEN TOLD, BY A FEW FORUM MEMBERS. and im sure they re right. i like to write the way i like to write. but i am trying to appear more readable. i sometimes spell the word the way it sounds .non conformity is an old habit of mine. rebel without a cause. regarding sun visors : ive put fresher stock ones in,and they all seem floppy. i like to improve,or upgrade certain items on the festsy. it may be hard,to find a pair small enough. i like junk yards. or BONE YARDS. nothing wrong with stock visors. i just dont like them. i can be picky, about the smallest items. u write pretty well yourself.

Check out thread number 25374. Or,you could opt for thread 43359. Or, just get some Kia Spectra visors from the junk yard. Well, what do you know! I just happen to have a Smart mirror for sale.

I've been thinking of going to a glue-on-the-windshield rear view mirror to replace the Festy one and then modding a set of Aspire or Escort visors to work properly with the additional center clips that are used on the original cars. However, I can't seem to figure out how to remove Escort or other Ford rear view mirrors from the windshields. They seem to have a small screw, but it isn't a screw! How do I remove them? Anyone know?

If I can remove one, I'll use an aftermarket "shoe" to glue on the windshield and reattach the new mirror.

If you find one in a vehicle that has a cracked windshield simply "snap" the whole unit, shoe and all off the glass.

Leastways that's how I would do it. Then you can investigate further as to the attachment method in the comfort of your own home.

                    Just my 2¢.
