  • aspire console swap on standard festiva

first your gonna need an aspire console, and some console brackets off of a auto festiva with a console. grab the shift boot and the shifter knob.

top bracket is the one you need it attaches under the stereo, bottom bracket should already be on your standard console.

and I basically cut it accross here to get it to fit on the festy, and measured the side skirting and tried to cut it to fit well. grabbed an extra faceplate for the top with the hopes of one day getting a 2nd box in the empty hole for more storage.

removed the old console and put the new one in how i wanted it, used a pencil to reach in behind and draw dots for where to drill the holes for the console and screwed it in, the rear end of the console went basically the same drilled two holes and bolted it into the rear of the bracket.

slide the rubber boot over and attach the new shifter knob.
I basically did this so I could get the two cupholders

anyways this is my first how-to ever so I hope you enjoyed it
the only disadvantage I found to this was... you ash in the festiva ashtray and miss, you ash in your drink. and the aspire ashtray is useless if your cup holders are always full lol.

Looks good! I love my Protege console!! Cup holders are nice, one of the best upgrades for a Festy!!!
If it don't fit, use a bigger hammer!
