  • Jetta headlights

I really really really want Jetta headlights from a 99-04. Those are the best looking lights ever, and from what I have been able to figure out they are close enough in size that they could fit the festiva, although it would take a good bit of modification. Anyone have access to one of these to get the width, height and depth rough measurements??? I was out in the parking lot at work the other day and saw one, and I had a tape on me so I was going to measure them... but the owner came out and wanted me to get away from his car... he wouldn't pop the hood for me either so I could take a look at the back of the lights. I'll also have to rewire a lot too I suppose...
    No festiva for me ATM...

I Had an 03 Jetta but we traded it about 6 months ago for an 06 but i sure it could be done but its would be alot of mods to your car to make them work. I just finished swapping in 95 projectors into my aspire so that's why I'm interested in your post
Wait what kinda car is that!!! Oh yeah thats a ASPIRE

I've been looking off and on, problem is around here the ricer croud is mostly honduhs and 240s, nobody really fooling with Jettas much. Still haven't caught one in the yard either except one with the whole front clip removed... a lotta good that did me lol

Take into consideration the fact that the festiva headlight lenses are vertical and the vw lenses are angled back. I messed around with jetta headlights on a stiva and it didn't really work out. I guess if you want it bad enough you can do something to make it work.

Make a vacuumform box and mold new plastic lenses over the stock festiva glass. Then go on ebay and get the g1 or g3 projectors for 9004/9007 applications. Pop off the glass lens somehow install projector kit and then epoxyglue the new thin plastic lens onto the festiva housing. You can buy clear protective film to go over this new thin plastic so it won't discolor or get messed by road debris as easily. You now have an hid upgrade that will not blind anyone and no worries about modding your whole front end and still look hokey with gaps. I've discussed this idea with a guy on here but i deleted my pm's. He did this exact thing to a mercury marquis? that obviously has no aftermarket.
