just buy a regular Festy tach/speedo combo. Very nice upgrade and you get the tripometer too. Plug and play (except for the rare Festy)Originally posted by johnsonjaco View PostI want to put a tach into my festy because I don't have one on my dash..... If your set on an aftermarket tach, the yellow/green (I believe it's those colors) wire coming off the coil is the tach signal wire, it runs up to the gauges so a factory tach cluster is plug and play

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Same advice from me. The OEM tach instrument clusters (early orange backlit and later white ones) are fairly common for sale on this site for $75-125 and other than cursing for a bit, while trying to re-route the speedo cable from it's current location, are simple to swap, and plug and play just as GenevaDirt says. The search feature on here will direct you to step by step instructions.Originally posted by GenevaDirt View Postjust buy a regular Festy tach/speedo combo.
