  • New paint scheme

Decide to change up the olive drab scheme I had earlier.

Went with a desert sand...still a work in progress. Haven't sprayed the hood or roof yet. Both will be matte black.

May lay down a pattern ontop similar to this.

    Now for the pics.

Started laying down the base color for the new scheme...

Decided to do a Mach1'ish rear hatch color scheme.

    Pulled the tape off...

Now I need to get on that hood and roof!

I LOVE it. Gonna fab a flush bumper for the rear? That would be pretty sweet.

    Ooh, and smoke the tails?

Pretty phenomenal look. I wouldn't do it to my car, but to each, his own! It looks pretty fantastic... though I must say, you certainly could use some extreme Bosozuku fender flairs on that puppy!

Reminds me of Matt's (resurwrecked) car. He did a couple different camos. And a desert sand.

Thanks, yeah I will be making a flush bumper. Not a fan of smoked tails. But it would look cool with the mach1 hatch.

Are you gonna still do a desert camo or are you just leaving the desert sand color?

And resuwrecked won FOTM awhile back.

That's what my 81 Iraqui Malibu (four speed floor shift) looked like just after I painted it!
Two Part Ordnance Tan. Same hue in the sunset!
I originally had the wheels, grille, police hub caps and chrome bumpers completely painted.
