  • "Smoked" Corner lights

Sitting around on a Sunday thinking of things to do to the Festiva... I actually had the idea a couple of weeks ago. I am VERY into R/C cars. I have a few cars that I have MUCH more money into than I do the Festiva.

Well, I am a fan of doing custom bodies as well. One of my favorite touches is Window tint. They actually make a few colors of it.

Well... I was originally thinking of doing it on tail lights, but in the garage I have one smooth, and one ribbed tail light extra, and didn't want to mess something up thats on the car. I do however have an extra set of orange corner lights. I did two coats, and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!

The Paint is Tamiya #PS-31 for polycarbonate (Lexan - Flexes. Normal spraypaint on a lexan body will crack QUICK!)

    Not too dark...

I've seen some "smoked" corners on festiva's before and unless the car is black, i think they stand out in a negative way

    Just my 2 cents

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Still in a testing phase... Haven't installed yet. Might be a good idea for tail lights as well!

Tinted tails look good IMO (hence why mine are tinted)

I just think the "white" of the headlights beside black corner lights just don't blend well and throw off the look of the front.... That's why I went with clear corners, they match well with the headlights.... And since tinted tails don't have anything to throw off the look, tinted tails looks good

Again, just my point of view on it
