  • 1-piece carpet kits

    hi all there,

I'm in Australia and was curious to know if there are any 1-piece car carpet kits that you can just "plug and play" a new carpet into the cars. i have a 5 door and someone told me about a kit available, but for a 2 door, i'm just curious to know if anyone had come across this in a 5 door kit at all or even for a mazda 121 or kia pride at all?

I believe all capets are two piece. The footwell section is heat molded. The small rear piece has a piece of underlay to level one side with the spare tire cover. All schematics show plastic push pins to join both sections of carpet.

having a look here, they are all for 2 door.. mine's a 4 door... are they trying to do a swifty and trying to make out there aren't 4 door models or are the 2 door models suitable for a 4 door.

Also what is the "back panel" they are referring to? is that for the boot?

Boy do we live on different continents! There are no 4 doors over here, rockauto is not trying to pull a "fast one" (swifty?) and "back panel" carpet is what lays out behind the back seat and into the trunk (or 'boot' as you affectionately call it). I got a real chuckle out of all this.

this also poses another question, is the floorpan the same size between the 2 and 4 doors at all? does anyone know this at all.. cause my thoughts go with if they are the same size, then i have no real issues at all

The fuel tanks are different. That must mean something.
