  • Where can I get Roll Cage

    Hi Everyone,

I just purchased my first festiva! It cost a whole $200. The price was indicative of it not running, bumper damage, and some rust. That will all change in time! My very first project for the car is to get a roll cage and racing seats. I need some direction as to where or how I can get a roll cage installed. My intention is to increase the cars rigidity and improve safety before I do my engine swap. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

One thing to watch out for with rollcages is that you don't have a bar running too close to your head. Even with foam padding these can crack your skull in an otherwise minor accident. Race cars get away with it because autoracing helmets are designed for bar impacts.

how functional is a cage like that not just safety but helping the car being more rigid? did you notice any difference?
