power windows

anyone have power windows? i wondered if power windows from a kia pride would work on a festiva. i saw the pic of a kia pride door panel, looks the same except for the pw controls on the armrest. i was curious if anyone had researched it.

from all I've seen of the prides they look like they would bolt up. But then again, I've only ever seen 2 in person. I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Escort parts though, since my mirror swap went so well. Next time I'm at the yard I'm grabbing everything I can from a escort with power windows to try that out. Escorts have much better parts availability than festivas here in the US, let alone Prides and 121, lol

The interior panels and doors wouldn't work from the one on eBay.. that's a 4 door and they would be too short. but the wiring and the regulators may work as well as the armrests.. I was looking at them too, but I just won a few items off that car.. part cost was 40.00 shipping was 80.00 :shock: I'll pass.. Maybe make my own from some Capri XR 2 windows..

The after market universal power window kits are very simple to install and work great on a Festiva as long as your window regulators and glass channels are in good shape

yeah shipping is the killer. i bid on the rear lights off that car and also the corners. have you seen those arm rests they sell on ebay, i wonder if they would work well. they were from asia and europe, but they were an after market item. hard to buy something like that wo seeing how well its made etc.

yeah many more escorts and no cross the pond shipping either. :wink:

I Did, I bought the ones from Pimptiva. I took them back off my daily driver and am going to be installing them in my B6T project car

Escort window regulators won't work - too much curve. 323 Window regs WILL work fine - mine are from an '88. I would expect the Pride regs to work the best - since it is the same car.
