    A "fifty-footer"....

Ha! Ha! Had to think about that for a second or two before the light bulb went on! hmmmmmm

Nice job! You should be proud!

Was driving home this afternoon thinking about what color of blue to paint my trusty Twistiva in a few weeks and was passed by a fairly new Ford pickup and about wet my pants with excitement because it was the perrrrrrrfect shade of blue!!!! banana time

Couldn't catch the guy though because there was a police car right beside me and small towns in OK are known for being quick to give tickets. Guess the accelerating Ford pickup either didn't see the policeman or didn't care.

Anyway....a decent paint job makes all the difference in the world!

We also call them "Monets"... Just like the works of the famous French painter, the car looks great from 20 feet.

I've been working way too much and it's been raining whenever I had a day off. Finally had a day off and the weather was nice, so I took a few pics.

Man, I would LOVE to live in a place like that!....some hills, twisting roads with small bridges going over creeks and such.

                Awesome!

Nice job on your Festiva, too!

If I can patch up the rust on my wheel arches this summer, I am going to repaint my car as well.

That looks really nice though, I hope mine turns out at least half that good.

Thanks for the compliments. Like I said earlier, it's a fifty footer but way better than it was.

I love the hills also. That bridge is my uncle's bridge that leads onto his property. The house in the background of the one pic is his. When he bought the place it had a brdige that was quite low and even with a little rain it would be covered. There was a foot bridge, but a storm took it out. Here's a pic of the lower bridge.

I figured I'd do a "long term" review of the tractor enamel paint job. It looks decent from about 50 ft or so, but it has lost all gloss. It has oxidized quite a bit. I've tried polishing and waxing it a few times, but it is a lost cause. If you were unscrupulous and just wanted a quick shiny paint job to sell a car, it would be a cheap alternative, but for something you want to keep, I would spend the extra money on real automotive paint. I just wanted to share this to keep someone else from doing the same after seeing the original post.

I painted my boat and gave it a "sundown" finish. The closer it got to sundown, the better it looked.
